Preparation for the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation consist of two consecutive years of preparation. Thus, a child planning to make First Communion prepares in 1st and 2nd grades, or the equivalent Special Sacrament Class 1 and 2.
Students in Grades 4 through 7 needing Baptism, and/or First Communion attend Children Initiation classes.
Confirmation students prepare in 6th and 7th and 8th grade. Confirmation is held in early autumn of 8th grade.
For those who have not received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist or Confirmation by the time they finish 8th grade, we offer sacramental preparation classes for high school and adults.
It is important for students preparing for sacraments to attend all classes during the school year. A student who is frequently absent jeopardizes his opportunity to receive the sacrament this year.
