The Diocese of Arlington values the safety of children in its care. Accordingly, the Diocese must take prudent measures to ensure that all that are entrusted to the care of Diocesan organizations are kept in a safe and secure environment. To insure that safety and security all volunteers and employees must be in good standing with the Diocese of Arlington.
To achieve good standing, volunteers 18 years and older must attend a The Protecting of God’s Children for Adults or VIRTUS training session scheduled throughout the Diocese. One must register in advance online at www.virtus.org. One must also submit a packet of forms, including a background check.
